    Presentation Title:  “Keep Calm & Trust Yourself” – What I learned from starting & growing two consumer food brands.

    Presentation Synopsis:

    John Stapleton is the Authentic Entrepreneur and the successful co-founder of The New Covent Garden Soup Co. and toddler food brand Little Dish, both FMCG category-establishing brands. John now actively manages an investor/Non-Executive Director portfolio contributing value-added business growth advice, guidance and mentoring to business owners on a variety of topics, including business strategy, branding, manufacturing, funding, leadership & team development.

    Drawing on his 30 years’ experience in pioneering new FMCG categories and establishing and growing successful consumer-led businesses in both the UK and the USA John’s talk will address the following themes:

    1. Have the Courage of your Convictions – You will get lots of detractors – don’t get swayed;
    2. The real benefit of Adversity is dealing with it – Forget the post mortems and feeling sorry for yourself – learn, re-adjust and move on;
    3. Adversity is everywhere – As an entrepreneur you never chose the path of least resistance; therefore don’t be surprised when it’s not a smooth ride;
    4. Learning from Failure – the power of failure in planning and executing your next success;
    5. The Power of Authenticity – this comes from who you are – be true to it and leverage it
